Introduction

Itinerary
We’ll pick up from the hotel in Plovdiv to drive through the Thracian valley all the way to the ridges of the Balkan mountains to the Shipka pass where we’ll take you for a visit to the Freedom monument and will explain more about the dramatic events in August 1877. We will then take you through the forests in the high parts of the Balkan Mountains to Buzludzha monument, an amazing concrete structure that resembles a space ship marks a different part of the history of Bulgaria. And will tell you about the curious history of the place and other interesting facts and events from the communist times.
After enjoying and admiring this man made marvel and the panorama follows a visit to the Rose valley to find more about the properties Rose oil and its production.
