The Waterfalls canyon tour near Plovdiv created one of the best days I had in Bulgaria.
Nature, culture and serenity.
A picturesque trip from Plovdiv to Rodope mountains took me to the border of this lovely country and then, Velislav kindly welcomed me into his hometown Smolyan.
The Waterfall tour was incredible; full of great scenes of waterfalls – both huge and small ones, and also of the surrounding mountains.
You will literally feel like you are on top of the world at some points in the tour.
I definitely recommend it! :)
Waterfall canyon hike tour from Plovdiv + visit to the Shiroka laka village
Managed to find Velislav (from Localite Tour) on Google trying to find hikes near Plovdiv in Bulgaria, and I am glad that I’ve decided to go with it!Only contacted 3 days before the actual hike and got quick replies from him, along with some suggestions to make the hike a better one. He is very passionate about Bulgaria and throughout our trip into the Rhodope mountains, Velislav pointed out some interesting facts about the various attractions that we’ve passed by and even took the scenic drive to show us the best views of the valleys within the Rhodope mountains.
The waterfall hike itself was amazing, and it has lots of unforgettable views.
I thought it was pretty thoughtful of Velislav to suggest having a picnic lunch on top of one of the view points of the waterfall, and we had some traditional Bulgarian food. The visit to Shiroka laka village was an eye-opening experience for me as I visited a traditional house, learned more about its culture and visited a church in the village (there isn’t such an experience in Singapore).I visited Plovdiv with no expectations, and this is definitely the best day of my Bulgaria trip! It was indeed a wonderful experience and I look forward to exploring Bulgaria with Localite tour again!
I highly recommend his services. Thank you once again, Velislav! :)
